Context: Self-initiated campaign concept
The Challenge
A lightweight cooler presents an apparent advantage, but that advantage can conflict with the assumption that durability requires weight.
The creative challenge was to address this perception directly and build a campaign in which lightness and strength support the same story.
My Role & Strategic Response
I developed “Pound for Pound” as a campaign platform, connecting the positioning idea with art direction and a repeatable execution system.
My strategy used natural references to reframe the relationship between mass and capability. The campaign introduces the product through a broader proposition: strength can come from efficient structure rather than weight.
Design Resolution
A seven-poster series pairs product features with natural references. Dramatic imagery, concise headlines, a consistent palette, and a recurring feature band establish the campaign’s visual structure.
The same system supports proposed extensions into outdoor advertising, social carousels, retail communications, and product-page content.
Outcome
The project delivers a defined campaign platform and a repeatable visual language. It demonstrates how a positioning challenge can guide the concept, the art direction, and the structure of individual executions.
Independent concept, not affiliated with Rugged Road Outdoors. Natural comparisons are creative analogies rather than product-performance tests.
